ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROVISION
Time for Change Kids is proud to offer individualised alternative eduction provisions specifically designed to meet the needs of children who are currently unable to access formalised education due to additional needs, behavioural needs, anxiety, depression and other associated conditions. Our setting focuses on building vital life skills that children need to acquire now to take in to early adulthood and all programmes are individualised to each child's needs.
Sessions focus on the core value that every child should be educated BUT not every child should be educated in the same way. For some children our sessions will initially be based on site at our venue in Winchmore Hill where we will work to build positive relationships with peers and known adults and then progress to more opportunities in the community including shopping trips, theatre, movies, bowling, park trips, travelling via public transport, learning to navigate both online and in person banking, food preparation, cooking and eventually work experience. All children will be monitored for progress and their parents thoughts, views, feelings and opinions will be valued and used to influence the planned activities.
We aim to make every child feel valued, to help them grow in confidence, to work with families to reduce anxiety and in some instances help children to return to formal education where as in other instances to continue to work with children long term to develop their skills and help them fully gain their independence.
Sessions are open to all children with or without an EHCP, one to one support is available where required and all children will have access to their own individual timetables. Children can attend for a maximum of 15 hours per week and a minimum of 2. Prices per session depend on the needs of the child, the support needed and the number of sessions/ hours per week.
Sessions can be privately funded or funded by the local authority via a personal budget.
